What is the Sap Raider?
The
Sap Raider is our preheating unit that mounts above your existing flue
pan and uses the energy coming off your flue pan to heat the sap before
it enters the flue pan.
A Sap Raider has the potential to increase your boil efficiency by 75% using energy you are already providing. Hood recommended to maximize efficiency.

Sap Raider Unit 26 1/2″ tall
2″ Valve connection to flue pan
Water run-off valve
Fan and gasket kit
Why would I need it?
Efficiency – using the steam off of the existing unit to heat sap before it enters the flue pan.

Hot Water – continues condensate run off at approximately 200°. Great for clean up, maintaining syrup temperatures, etc
